Austin brings dedication, heart, and a strong work ethic to her role at Balance and Maine Oral Health & Wellness. She began working at just 14 in her friend’s restaurant, showing from an early age that she was a self-starter with the drive to succeed.
A graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School, Austin was a member of the National Honor Society and earned Honors distinction, completing her studies early. She immediately transitioned into college in January 2023, enrolling at Thomas College, where she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security. While she excelled in her studies, Austin ultimately felt called to follow in her mother’s footsteps and enter the field of dental hygiene—a career path that will allow her to balance her passion for healthcare with her long-term goals of creating flexibility for family life.
This fall, Austin will begin dental hygiene school, with plans to graduate in 2027. In the meantime, she is gaining valuable hands-on experience as both a dental assistant and administrative support team member. Her warm presence, attention to detail, and willingness to learn make her an asset to both patients and the team.
Outside of work and school, Austin and her partner—a Marine Patrol Agent for the State of Maine—are putting down roots as they build their home in Penobscot. She loves adventures with family, traveling whenever she gets the chance, and also cherishes her quiet evenings spent watching movies at home.
With her natural compassion, curiosity, and dedication to growth, Austin looks forward to building a long and meaningful career in oral health and wellness, continuing the legacy of care her mother began.
